    Family Immortalises Chika Rita Okwuosah (PHOTOS)

    THE family of late Barrister Chika Rita Okwuosah have set up a foundation in memory of the late young and vibrant Barrister. Born to Sir (Dr) Dozie and Lady Nonye Okwuosah, the late Barrister died shortly after obtaining her post graduate degree in Law in 2018.

    Unveiling the Chika Rita Okwuosah Foundation (CROF) in Abuja, family and friends took turns to pay glowing tributes to the late Chika.

    Speaking at the event, the Country Director of Water Aid, Chichi Aniagolu-Okoye, while mourning the loss of such a promising star, applauded the parents for deciding to keep the memory of Chika alive by setting up a Foundation that would contribute to the empowerment of women and girls. She encouraged guests to give all possible support to the Foundation.

    In a release by CROF, the Foundation aims “to immortalize and fulfil late Barr Chika Rita Okwuosah’s aspiration to be a renowned fashion designer and a catalyst for social, educational and economic empowerment of women and girls”.


    Objectives of CROF include, “to support female start-ups in beauty and fashion design to develop the necessary skills and assist them access funding in order to establish and grow their own fashion businesses” and “to promote the rights pf girls and women to quality education towards attainment of social and economic development”.


    Some members of the Trustees Board include Sir Joe Wenegieme, Hon. Preye Ogriki and Ms Theresa Effa.

    The Foundation welcomes individual and corporate support in achieving its objectives.
